- This is a 2-Day, OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Outreach Safety Training program designed by OSHA for all company employees, managers, supervisors and inspectors involved in General Industry Activities. The goal of this OSHA 10-Hour Outreach General Industry Safety Training course is to help employers and employees identify, avoid, prevent and control hazardous situations in the work place.
- Considered "the standard" in General Industry, this OSHA 10-Hour Outreach Safety Training provides a strong foundation upon which employers and their employees can build a safe working environment. This safety awareness class could help reduce or eliminate employee injuries, workers' compensation claims, potential lawsuits, property damage, and the need to hire and train replacement workers.
- OSHA 10-Hour Safety Training is a lifetime investment in the safety of your employees. OSHA 10 cards currently do not have an expiration date. Course Objectives:
- Upon completion of either of these courses, participants will be able to:
- - Become more accountable for their safety & the safety of
- others on the job.
- - Understand how to identify, avoid, prevent and control
- hazardous situations.
- - Better understand the function and role OSHA plays in worker
- safety.
- - Appreciate the cost of an accident or injury to his employer
- and himself.
- - Demonstrate through a written exam their understanding
- of safety in the workplace.
- Minimum Class Size: 10
- Maximum Class Size: 40
- Length of Class: 10 Hours (held over 2 days per OSHA)

- The 10 hours is for instruction only. It does not include breaks. Per OSHA, Instructors must provide breaks including 30 minutes for lunch over and above the 10 hours.
Topics Include:- Introduction to OSHA *- Walking and Working Surfaces *- Electrical *- Hazard Communication *- Exit Routes, Emergency Action Plans, Fire
Prevention Plans, and Fire Protection*- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) *
Elective topics include: Hazardous Materials (flammable and combustible
liquids); Material Handling; Machine Guarding;
Introduction to Industrial Hygiene; Bloodborne
Pathogens; Ergonomics; Safety & Health
Programs; and Fall Protection.

Class Location: Safety Equipped, Inc. offers training throughout New England, including New York, on a regular basis. Locations include Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and New York.
Private Sessions: Safety Equipped, Inc. will conduct a class at your business location and try to work around your production schedule. OSHA 10 cards currently do not have an expiration date. However, some States may have a refresher. Check with your State to see if you need to take a refresher course. OSHA 10 CARDS:Students who successfully complete 10-Hour OSHA training will receive an official OSHA 10 card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). After successfull completion of this course, students will receive a temporary card to carry and present as proof of training, if needed, while you wait for your official card to arrive in the mail. ALL CLASSES ARE CONDUCTED IN ENGLISH
