Course Description:
This training segment is intended to provide the participants with sufficient information regarding Confined Space Operations, identification of the related hazards and how to protect themselves against exposures to risk and harm during the execution of their assigned work activities. At the conclusion of this training segment, the participants will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the following objectives and the related industry standards. Objective I - Confined Space Attendant:- Identify the hazards of confined spaces and confined space entry. - Communicate effectively with entrants.- Monitor for dangerous situations.- Order evacuations and summon appropriate rescue services.- Perform non-entry rescues. Objective II - Confined Space Entrant:- Recognize the hazards of confined space entry.- Test and monitor for hazards.- Work closely with the attendant.- Respond to Emergencies. Class Size: Minimum: 10 students Maximum: 20 studentsLength of Class: 4 hours (approximately)Cost: Call for Pricing ** Customer is responsible for providing all necessary rescue and monitoring equipment.
Objective III - Confined Space Entry Supervisor: - Requirements to be addressed prior to work + Tasks, tools and timetable + Planning, communications and rescue - Permits + “When are they required?” + “What do they contain, and who are they for?” - Entry Operations + Preliminary activities through completion - Emergencies + Are we prepared? + What is my role? + How to respond? Objective IV - Post Entry Activity: - Were we prepared? + Where do we need to improve? + What went well? - Documentation + What do we need? + Who is it for? - Lessons learned + Review and critique + Assess and improve Construction & General Industry.
All classes are taught in English.
